Candle & Crow is out Oct. 1—just a couple weeks away! And it has so much good stuff. I did one of those social media posts listing a few of them and quickly ran out of room for things like learning about the Nine Ways to Nancy and the secret club underneath the bookshop and the bloodstained altar in the evil wizard’s house and the dragon goddess who woke up after a thousand-year nap. Y’all won’t wanna miss it! You can preorder in print, ebook and audio (narrated by Luke Daniels) now as a gift to your future self. Can’t wait for y’all to read! It wraps up not only everything in this series but all the loose ends from the Iron Druid Chronicles.

May I speak unto thee about signed copies? YOU CAN GET THEM TWO WAYS
1) Come see me on tour! Details below.
2) Order a signed copy from one of the stores I’ll be visiting on tour and they will ship to you—best to give them a call directly at this point and make sure you say you want a signed copy, and they can arrange personalizations too:
a) The Poisoned Pen (excellent for US and international shipping): (480) 947-2974
b) Anderson’s Bookshop: (630) 355-2665
c) Boswell Book Company: (414) 332-1181
d) Mystery to Me Books: (608) 283-9332

The tour itself is gonna be a hoot and a half, with stops in the U.S. and Canada and four dates with New York Times bestsellers Chuck Wendig and Delilah S. Dawson joining me! And three dates include pre-game get-togethers or hootenannies or whatever you want to call them. In Naperville/Chicago and Madison, you can hang out with Chuck, Delilah, and me at a pizza joint in easy walking distance from the bookstore. Details on my Appearances page, and yeah, you just show up! And in Scottsdale, there’s a place called Cornish Pasty that’s a lot of fun and has outdoor seating, also in easy walking distance of the bookstore. I think we had a hundred people there last time I was in town? It was a blast! PLUS MOM WILL BE THERE.

Why not have hootenannies in Milwaukee and Minneapolis, you may ask? Well, my friends and I have special plans in those towns, like raiding a cheese castle and dancing through an apple orchard. Soaking up the local flavors, as it were. We will be in an extraordinarily good mood wherever we go because we have a lot of fun together, and Chuck and Delilah have never ever been to Wisconsin before, so we hope to see you for what are literally once-in-a-lifetime events.

Chuck will be promoting a Middle Grade book called Monster Movie! as well as the paperback release of his instant horror classic Black River Orchard, and Delilah will be promoting Guillotine and her forthcoming It Will Only Hurt For a Moment. Of course we have also written books together, so you can have those double/triple signed if you wish.

In other news, I started a little imprint where I’ll be printing novellas by other authors, and the first one is called Coyote Run by Lilith Saintcrow. I wrote up a post on the enterprise over at terribleminds and if face-stomping fascists sounds good to you, this story serves it up in heaping portions. Note that preordering directly from Horned Lark Press gets you $3 off, stickers, a bookmark, and a limited-run postcard.

Our second one will be novella by Stephen Blackmoore, author of the Eric Carter series (which starts with Dead Things). That happens to be one of my favorite urban fantasies so I am epically geeked he agreed to write something for us. More on that soon!

I hope to see you/hear from you in a couple of weeks when Candle & Crow launches. Happy reading, friends!
